Accurate as-built drawings are very important for project operation and maintenance, and future modifications, particularly for plumbing and electrical systems, which are hidden from view.Ī record copy of this guidance has been published to a PDF. The changes detailed below are effective immediately, so it’s important to review this document and consult CCUA with any questions. The above image is not a P&ID Drawing but Piping Construction ISO Drawing. As-built drawings are an official record of the project at the time of construction completion. Once approved by the relevant department, the P&ID is then issued as 'As-Built' P&IDs to the client for final approval. The intent is to aid the contractor and resident engineer in the development of high-quality as-built drawings to show changes made to the project during construction. These 2D floor plans commonly include details such as walls, doors, windows, and plumbing fixtures. As built drawings show the dimensions, geometry, and location of all components of the project. They reflect all changes made in the specifications and working drawings during the construction process, and show the exact dimensions, geometry, and location of all elements of the work completed under the contract. The content contained in the specification for the project is the governing document, in the event there are any discrepancies presented in this web page. By definition, an as built drawing is a revised set of drawings submitted by a contractor upon completion of a construction project. As Built drawings are defined as Revised set of drawing submitted by a contractor upon completion of a project or a particular job. This guidance will compliment the as-built subpart contained in 01.78.00. 1.1.10 As-built Drawings must be sharp, clear, clean, legible, and suitable for scanning and filing.

As-built Drawings for residential projects shall be included with the final plat submittal. The final as-built drawings include modifications during construction, field requested changes, shop drawing modifications, and contractor designs. 1.1.9 As-built Drawings for non-residential projects shall be submitted to GCP&D a minimum of 10 business days prior to request for Certificate of Occupancy. The revisions from contractor markups and field inspection notes are transferred to the final as-built set of drawings. As-built Drawings are the amended "As-designed" drawings revised to show the project as the contractor built and constructed it.
